Installation of brick, concrete block, adobe units, stone, marble, slate or other units and products common to the masonry industry, including mortarless-type masonry products. Installation of grout and caulking. Tuck pointing, sand blasting, mortar washing, parging, cleaning and welding of reinforcing steel related to masonry construction.

Thus, this specification covers minimum construction requirements for masonry in structures. Included are quality, inspection, testing, and placement of materials; the placing, bonding, and anchoring of masonry; and the placement of grout and reinforcement. This specification is intended to be referenced in the project specifications. Individual project requirements may supplement the provisions of this specification. -
