The third edition of the HVAC Duct Construction Standards – Metal and Flexible is intended primarily for commercial and institutional duct construction. This American National Standard contains tables and details for constructing ductwork for ½" to 10" wg positive and negative pressures. This edition improves upon the second edition with expanded pressure class tables, separate tables for TDC/TDF construction and expanded tables for round duct construction including 6" wg positive and negative pressure and sizes up to 96". New in this edition is an engineering and design chapter to provide additional information to design professionals, double-wall construction details, new casing construction details and additional accessory items. The standard is applicable for construction using uncoated steel, galvanized and stainless steels and a limited range of aluminum ducts. This standard has been adopted in the ICC International Mechanical Code.

Hand held rotating calculator used for sizing supply and return duct systems using the equal friction design method. Includes scales for friction loss per unit length, air volume, air velocity, round duct diameter, and rectangular duct diameters. One side uses I-P units, the other side uses SI units. Includes a protective sleeve with ASHRAE recommended design air velocities for system components/applications.

1.1 Scope. 1.1.1* This standard shall provide the minimum fire safety requirements (preventative and operative) related to the design, installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance of all public and private cooking operations. 1.1.2 This standard shall apply to residential cooking equipment used for commercial cooking operations. 1.1.3 This standard shall not apply to cooking equipment located in a single dwelling unit. 1.1.4* This standard shall not apply to facilities where all of the following are met: (1) Only residential equipment is being used. (2) Fire extinguishers are located in all kitchen areas in accordance with NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. (3) The facility is not an assembly occupancy. (4) The authority having jurisdiction has approved the installation.
